Last updated on February 8, 2026

The Asset Management feature in Tidify Pro helps you track and manage all physical assets owned by your company. It provides visibility into asset value, usage status, and lifecycle, helping you make informed financial and operational decisions.

What Is an Asset?

An asset is any physical item owned by your business that provides long-term value, such as:

  • Equipment and machinery

  • Tools and devices

  • Office furniture

  • Vehicles

What You Can Do with Asset Management

With Asset Management, you can:

  • View all company assets in one place

  • Categorize assets for easier tracking

  • Track asset status (e.g., in use, inactive)

  • Record purchase dates and values

  • Monitor current asset value over time

  • Search, update, or remove assets

Accessing Asset Management

From your dashboard sidebar:

  1. Click on Assets

  2. You will be redirected to the All Assets page

All Assets Overview

The All Assets page displays a list of all physical assets owned by your company.

Each asset record includes:

  • Name – Asset name (e.g., Brush Machine)

  • Category – Asset classification (e.g., Equipment)

  • Status – Current usage status (e.g., In Use)

  • Purchase Date – Date the asset was acquired

  • Purchase Value – Original cost of the asset

  • Current Value – Present estimated value

  • Actions – Options to edit or delete the asset

You can use the Search assets field to quickly find a specific asset.

How to Add a New Asset

  1. Navigate to Assets

  2. Click Add Asset

  3. Enter asset details, including:

    • Asset name

    • Category

    • Purchase date

    • Purchase value

    • Current value

    • Status

  4. Click Save

The asset will now appear in the All Assets list.

Managing Existing Assets

From the Actions column, you can:

  • Edit asset details (e.g., value, status)

  • Update asset status when usage changes

  • Delete assets that are no longer owned or relevant

Updating the current value allows you to reflect appreciation or depreciation over time.

Best Practices

  • Regularly update asset values to reflect real market conditions

  • Change asset status when an asset is no longer in use

  • Categorize assets properly for accurate reporting

  • Remove disposed or sold assets to keep records clean

Important Notes

  • Asset values contribute to your overall financial visibility

  • Asset management supports better budgeting and planning

  • Deleted assets cannot be recovered
