How Customer Public Bookings Works
Last updated on February 8, 2026
This article explains how customer public bookings work on Tidify Pro, how to manage them, and how to get started.
Customer public bookings allow anyone to book your services through a public booking link. This link directs customers to your business booking page, where they can place a booking without direct interaction. You are notified by email whenever a new booking is submitted.
Note: Public bookings are available only on paid plans and are not supported on the free plan.
Prerequisites
Before enabling customer public bookings, ensure the following:
-
An active Tidify Pro account
-
An active paid subscription
-
Public directory listing enabled in Settings
-
Access to your public booking URL (e.g. https://tidifypro.com/book/your-company-name)
How Customer Public Bookings Work
Step 1: Share Your Public Booking Link
Share your public booking link with customers via:
-
Social media bio links
-
Website buttons
-
Email campaigns
-
Messaging platforms
This allows customers to book your services without manual negotiation, helping you scale faster.
To maximize effectiveness:
-
Productize your services
-
Set clear pricing for each service
Customers who book directly through the platform typically pay the listed price, unlike chat-based inquiries where price negotiations are common. You may also encourage bookings by offering coupon codes (e.g., SUMMER20 for 20% off).
Step 2: Manage Incoming Bookings
Bookings submitted through the public link are automatically set to Pending status.
This is intentional because:
-
Customers may not provide complete or accurate requirements
-
Some bookings function more as leads than finalized bookings
To proceed:
-
Contact the customer to confirm requirements and expectations
-
Finalize pricing or service scope if necessary
-
Update the booking status to Confirmed
Once a booking is confirmed:
-
An invoice is automatically generated
-
The invoice is emailed to the customer (if an email address was provided)
Important Notes
-
The email field in customer details is optional
-
If no email address is provided, email notifications and invoices will not be sent
-
All public bookings can be edited, updated, or confirmed from the Bookings section of your dashboard
Customer public bookings are designed to help you generate leads, reduce manual coordination, and streamline your booking process.
